The city provides a bulk trash collection service free of charge to its residents. The day of pickup depends on your trash day. There are specific rules on what will and will not be collected including limits.

You will be sent an invitation to review your lease after everyone in your group has applied.
Active leases / previous leases
Log into your tenant portal from the 'www.rentjmu.com' website. From there you will be able to access your current and previous leases with us.
NOTE: If you have had multiple leases with us and you used different email addresses to apply to each lease, you must log into the tenant portal using the email address for which you applied to see the lease.
If you need to sublet your property, you will need to get written permission to do so from us.
The process will require you to identify a person to replace you on your existing lease and have them apply to ANY available property at www.rentjmu.com.
After they have applied, a sublease will be created for you and your replacement to sign.
NOTE: If you are on a lease with other tenants, EVERYONE on the lease must agree to the sublet in writing so be sure to get their buy-in prior to beginning the process
At the end of your lease, we will inspect the property and deduct any damages or outstanding rents / fees from your deposit. The remaining balance of your deposit will be divided amongst the tenants and that amount will be credited to your new lease. When that amount is less than the amount of the deposit due you must make up the difference with a payment prior to the beginning of your new lease.
Yes, when moving to another one of our properties you must pay another deposit at the time of signing the lease. We will handle the refund of your previous lease separately.
Log into your tenant portal from the 'www.rentjmu.com' website and update your profile mailing address. BE SURE TO SAVE THE CHANGE. This is the address your deposit will be mailed to after our inspection and repair process.
Virginia law provides landlords 45 days from the end of the lease to return deposits. This will be mailed to the address listed under your profile within the rentjmu.com portal.
